I live in Los Angeles. I’m a magician member of the Academy of Magical Arts, which is the club that lives in the Magic Castle in Hollywood, and I read minds at parties, company events and weddings all over Southern California.

Draft. Shayne to rewrite in his own words.
I’ve been a member of the Magic Castle for years. If you’ve never been, it’s an old mansion in the Hollywood hills where magicians perform for each other and for invited guests, in rooms that hold a couple of dozen people. It’s a tough place to learn. The audience is two feet away and half of them are magicians who know exactly where to look.
What I took from all those nights is a style that’s made for small groups. It’s closer to a conversation than a routine, and somewhere along the way something happens that the person in front of me can’t account for.
I work walkaround for a simple reason, which is that mentalism is strongest up close. When you watch a mind-reading act on a stage, it’s happening to some stranger in row four. When I’m standing in front of you, it’s your mind.
Mostly mentalism, which is mind reading and prediction. There’s also some close-up magic with cards, coins and things I borrow. It’s for adults, it’s clean, and the joke is never on a guest.
I call back quickly and I give you a flat price. We’ll have one planning call so I know who’s going to be in the room. On the night I’ll be early and dressed for the occasion, and I won’t need a thing from you.
I’d rather talk for ten minutes than trade six emails. I’ll ask about the crowd and the timing, tell you what I’d do, and give you a price before we hang up. You don’t have to decide on the call.
Sets start at $700.
